Why We Use Methylcobalamin B12

Recharge Clinic uses methylcobalamin, a metabolically active form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 contributes to healthy nerve and blood-cell function and is involved in DNA production. Other clinics may use cyanocobalamin or hydroxocobalamin, which are also recognized forms of B12 but are processed differently by the body and not always as effective as methylcobalamin.

This infusion requires a provider review because Methylene Blue can interact with certain medications—including some antidepressants—and is not appropriate for every patient.
