The Carbon Laser Facial is a noninvasive skin treatment designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and refresh the appearance of the skin. It is especially popular with patients concerned about oily skin, clogged or enlarged-looking pores, uneven texture and a dull complexion.

At Recharge Clinic, we use a Q-switched laser with settings specifically designed for carbon facials and other skin-rejuvenation treatments.

How Does a Carbon Laser Facial Work?

A thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin and allowed to dry. The carbon settles across the skin’s surface and into the pores, attaching to oil, dead skin cells and surface debris.

The Q-switched laser is then passed over the treatment area. The laser energy is attracted to the carbon particles, gently breaking them apart and lifting away the debris attached to them.

The controlled laser energy may also support the skin’s natural renewal response and collagen production over time.

A session generally takes about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

What Should I Expect After Treatment?

The skin may appear slightly pink or feel warm for a short period afterward. Most patients can return to their normal routine the same day.

Many patients notice that their skin feels cleaner, smoother and more refreshed after treatment. Results are gradual and vary by patient.
