PRP Sexual-Wellness Treatments Men & Women

PRP sexual-wellness treatments use platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of the patient’s own blood. The concentrated PRP is injected into carefully selected areas with the goal of supporting tissue quality, circulation, sensitivity and sexual response.

Recharge Clinic offers PRP sexual-wellness treatments for appropriately selected men and women following a private medical consultation.

PRP Sexual-Wellness Treatment for Women

For women, PRP may be injected into targeted clitoral and vaginal tissue to support:

  • Sensitivity
  • Arousal and responsiveness
  • Sexual satisfaction
  • Tissue quality
  • Comfort during intimacy
  • Mild urinary leakage or stress incontinence

A medical evaluation helps determine whether PRP, laser treatment, hormone therapy, pelvic-floor treatment or another option may be most appropriate.

PRP Sexual-Wellness Treatment for Men

For men, PRP may be injected into targeted penile tissue with the goal of supporting:

  • Sensitivity
  • Circulation
  • Sexual responsiveness
  • Erectile function
  • Overall sexual wellness
  • Peyronie's disease

PRP is not a replacement for a complete evaluation of erectile dysfunction. Hormone levels, cardiovascular health, medications, diabetes, stress and other factors may all contribute to sexual concerns.

What to Expect

The appointment begins with a confidential consultation and health-history review. If treatment is appropriate, a small amount of blood is drawn and processed before the PRP is injected into the targeted area.

Temporary tenderness, swelling, bruising or sensitivity may occur. Patients receive specific aftercare instructions and guidance regarding when sexual activity may be resumed.

Is PRP Sexual-Wellness Treatment Right for You?

Sexual concerns often have more than one contributing cause. Your provider may also evaluate hormones, medications, circulation, vaginal health, stress and other factors before recommending a treatment plan.

PRP sexual-wellness therapy may be offered on its own or alongside other options such as:

  • Hormone therapy
  • Scream Cream
  • The Honeymoon Injection
  • Acoustic wave therapy
  • Vaginal treatments
  • Vaginal Laser
  • Other erectile-dysfunction or sexual-health care

Research into PRP for sexual function and urinary concerns remains limited and is still evolving. Results vary, and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Honeymoon Injection

The Honeymoon Injection contains PT-141, also known as bremelanotide, a prescription peptide that works through pathways in the brain involved in sexual desire and arousal. Unlike medications that act mainly by increasing blood flow, PT-141 works through the central nervous system and may help increase interest, responsiveness and sexual motivation.

It may be considered for women or men who are experiencing low libido, decreased arousal or who simply want extra support with intimacy. Some patients use it occasionally before a vacation, date night or special occasion, while others may use it as part of a provider-guided sexual-wellness plan.

The injection is typically used before anticipated sexual activity. Timing and duration vary from person to person, and sexual stimulation is still needed—it does not create constant or automatic arousal.

Possible side effects can include nausea, flushing, headache, injection-site irritation and temporary increases in blood pressure. It is not appropriate for everyone, particularly patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure or certain cardiovascular conditions, so a medical consultation and medication review are required.

Best for: Low libido, reduced arousal, decreased sexual responsiveness and occasional intimacy support.

Scream Cream

Changes in sexual desire, arousal, sensitivity and satisfaction are common—and they can happen at any age. Hormone changes, medications, stress, health conditions, discomfort and relationship factors may all play a role. Women’s sexual concerns are real medical concerns, and you deserve to feel comfortable discussing them with your provider.

Scream Cream is a prescription compounded topical medication that may be used to support sexual arousal and sensitivity in women. It is applied externally before sexual activity and is designed to increase local blood flow and physical responsiveness.

Because compounded formulas can vary, your Recharge provider will determine whether Scream Cream is appropriate for you and provide specific instructions for use.

Scream Cream May Help With
  • Difficulty becoming physically aroused
  • Decreased genital sensitivity
  • Trouble reaching orgasm
  • Reduced sexual satisfaction
  • Sexual concerns that may occur alongside hormonal changes

Scream Cream primarily supports the physical arousal response. It may not directly correct low sexual desire when the underlying cause is hormonal, emotional, medication-related or connected to another medical condition.

A Personalized Approach Matters

There is no single cause—or single treatment—for women’s sexual concerns. Your provider may review your symptoms, medications, hormone levels, medical history and other possible contributing factors before recommending treatment. Depending on your needs, additional options may include hormone therapy, vaginal treatments, medication adjustments or other forms of sexual-wellness support.

Available Through Recharge RX Pharmacy

Scream Cream is available by prescription through Recharge RX Pharmacy, our compounding pharmacy. Once prescribed, Recharge RX can prepare the medication according to your provider’s instructions.

Is Scream Cream Right for You?

Results vary, and Scream Cream is not appropriate for everyone. A consultation with a Recharge Clinic provider can help identify what may be contributing to your symptoms and whether this prescription—or another treatment option—may be a good fit.
