I Have Tried Almost Every Version of PRP. Obviously.
At this point, PRP has been in my feet, my scalp, my face, under my eyes, and other places we already discussed in the sexual-wellness blogs.
What can I say? I am committed to research.
But PRP for aesthetics is one of my favorite conversations because so many people want the same thing: they want to look fresher, smoother, and more rested - without looking puffy, frozen, or like they suddenly borrowed somebody else's face.
That is where PRP gets interesting.
It is not filler. It is not Botox or Dysport. It is not a laser. PRP uses a concentrated portion of your own blood to support the skin's natural repair response and collagen activity.
In Cynthia language: we are not putting a fake filter over the skin. We are giving the skin a better reason to act alive again.
We draw a small amount of your blood and spin it in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich portion. Those platelets carry signaling proteins involved in repair and healing.
Depending on the treatment, PRP can be:
Because it comes from your own blood, PRP appeals to people who love the idea of a natural, gradual improvement. This treatment material is yours and the goal is to stimulate, not camouflage.
Microneedling Is Good. Microneedling With PRP Turns Up the Conversation.
Microneedling creates tiny, controlled channels in the skin. That controlled stimulation is designed to trigger a repair response and support new collagen.
When we add PRP, we apply your concentrated platelet preparation across those channels during the treatment. The combination is used to support recovery and enhance the overall rejuvenation plan.
Patients often choose PRP microneedling when they want to improve the appearance of:
Is it an instant facelift? No. And please run from anyone who tells you a tube of your own plasma is going to replace surgery by Friday.
PRP microneedling is for gradual skin improvement. The face may be pink, tender, or mildly swollen afterward, and then the collagen response develops over time.
You can sleep eight hours, drink your water, say your prayers, do all the right things - and your under-eyes may still announce that you have been awake since 2004.
The skin under the eyes is thin and delicate. PRP or PRF may be injected in that area to support skin quality and improve the look of crepey texture, fine lines, and some types of dark under-eye appearance.
This is not the same thing as filler.
Filler is used to add volume or structural support. PRP is used to support the quality of the tissue itself. If the problem is a deep hollow, a large fat pad, significant skin laxity, or pigment, PRP alone may not be the complete answer.
PRP may be injected into selected facial areas to support skin quality, firmness, and natural-looking rejuvenation. Depending on the person and treatment plan, that may include the cheeks, lower face, fine lines, or other areas where the provider wants to improve tissue quality rather than simply add volume.
This is for the person who looks in the mirror and says, "I do not need a new face. I need this face to wake up."
Exactly.
They do different jobs.
You do not have to choose a team and become emotionally loyal to one syringe. A beautiful treatment plan may use one of these or combine them strategically.
I love natural. I also love effective. You can have both.
Me, because I will try anything that helps me look rested while I run multiple clinics and raise children.
The best results usually look like you on a good day. Not you with a completely different face.
That depends on the area, starting condition, treatment type, age, goals, and response. Many patients benefit from a series rather than a single treatment, followed by maintenance as recommended.
Improvement is usually gradual. Skin remodeling and collagen production take time. Photos taken in consistent lighting are much more useful than checking the mirror every six minutes.
And yes, PRP is also used for hair, pain, and sexual wellness. Same core idea, very different target and treatment plan. Natural-Looking Does Not Mean Doing Nothing
I hear people say, "I want to age naturally," as if their only choices are doing absolutely nothing or walking out with lips attached to their forehead.
There is a very large, beautiful space in between.
PRP can be part of that space: thoughtful treatments, gradual results, and skin that looks healthier instead of simply covered up.

The popular term usually refers to microneedling combined with platelet-rich plasma from the patient's own blood. We prefer to call it PRP microneedling because that actually tells you what the treatment is.
Redness, tenderness, swelling, or pinpoint bleeding can occur temporarily. Downtime varies by treatment intensity and individual response. Your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions.
PRP results are usually gradual because the treatment relies on the body's repair and collagen response. Some changes may appear over several weeks, with continued improvement as the skin remodels. A series is recommended.
