Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure performed by Dr. Tieche to treat unwanted spider and reticular veins. The treatment involves the injection of a solution, which includes Asclera, into the affected veins.
How does Asclera work?
Asclera is a sclerosing agent that is injected directly into the vein. It works by damaging the inner wall of the vein, eventually causing the vein to collapse on itself. The veins are eventually replaced with tissue over time. Individual results may vary, and most patients will require multiple injection sessions for complete treatment success.
How long does the session take?
With Dr. Tieche being highly experienced with this treatment, a typical sclerotherapy session lasts 15 to 30 minutes with multiple injections during the treatment. We recommend that you wear compression after the treatment.
